FAQ
1. Discretion & security
Discretion is an essential aspect of professionalism and reliability and is central to our collaboration. We offer several options to minimise the data shared, to avoid storing digitally processed data and to arrange mutual communication as you prefer.
2. How does it work (process)?
Below is our step-by-step approach:
• I. You provide the financial data (see FAQ 3)
• II. Quality control of the data (follow-up if data is incomplete)
• III. Data is processed with external financial sources and our in-house analysis model
• IV. Quality & sanity checks on the output (coherence etc.)
• V. We integrate the processed data & charts into the Portfolio Scan
• VI. Delivery of the digital Portfolio Scan and launch of the printed brochure
Once everything is received, a presentation/discussion is possible.
3. What data to provide?
You choose which data you share:
• I. Minimum required: the ISIN codes of the listed investments and their weight in the portfolio(s) expressed as % (XLS format, see template at the bottom of this page)
• II. You can provide us with the most recent reports from your wealth managers and we compile this into one dataset. This approach may extend the delivery time.
4. Introductory meeting
Contact us without obligation at info@l3scofin.be or use the appointment tool to schedule an introductory meeting.
The ideal opportunity to get to know each other and to explore how we can be of service to you.
This first appointment (+/- 30 min) is without obligation and free of charge.
5. Types of consulting assignments
I. A sum becomes available for investment, or you are dissatisfied with your current relationship with your banker? Together we analyse your needs and objectives to select the ideal wealth manager(s).
II. Translating available assets into a fully built portfolio, discussing investment horizon and risk appetite, followed by a conversation about the ideal portfolio composition across different asset classes.
III. Engaging us as an independent board member or member of the investment committee. Main objective: monitoring mandates and the quality of management.
IV. Ad hoc reviews, analyses or workshops together with the board of directors or investment committee to obtain a neutral, well-founded view on investment policy and portfolios.
6. Ordering additional Portfolio Scan copies
You can always order additional prints of the Portfolio Scan. Depending on the number of copies required, we will provide an overview of the additional costs.
7. Analysis and reporting, but no advice
L3scofin and Content Asset Strategies do not offer investment services or investment advice for their own account. We are independent investment analysts who guide you in the choice of investment services offered by (private) banks and asset managers.
8. What does the Portfolio Scan bring me?
In addition to better insights into your investments, uncovering overlaps and a thorough risk analysis, the Portfolio Scan above all gives you the opportunity to discuss costs with your banker(s).
We notice that clients can save between 15 and 30 basis points (on an annual basis) on (implicit) costs. For a portfolio of EUR 3 million, this quickly amounts to EUR 9,000 less in costs per year.
9. What exactly is analysed?
The data model generates portfolio insights using external financial data and in-house developed indicators.
